Do We Travel?
Absolutely! We Go Wherever the Dinosaurs Take Us.
One of the questions we hear all the time is: “Do you travel to [insert city here]?”
Our answer is usually: YES!
Welcome to Jurassic Parties is based in the Gastonia, North Carolina area, but our dinosaurs aren’t exactly known for staying put.
We travel throughout the Charlotte region, across North Carolina, into neighboring states, and even farther for the right prehistoric adventure!
Whether you’re planning a birthday party, school visit, museum program, community event, corporate gathering, festival, fundraiser, or something completely unique, don’t assume you’re too far away. Ask us!
Because our dinosaurs don’t have their own teleportation device (yet), travel fees apply to events outside our included travel area.
Travel fees help cover the real costs of getting our dinosaurs, equipment, performers, and handlers to your event, including fuel, vehicle expenses, time on the road, and the logistics of transporting a prehistoric herd.
Our Travel Policy
- The first 15 miles round trip are included.
- After the first 15 miles, travel is charged at $1.70 per mile for the remaining round-trip distance.
- Travel is calculated from the assigned performer’s home to the event location and back.
- Holiday and holiday weekends events may include an additional $50 fee.
- Events more than 150 miles away may require additional travel and overnight lodging fees.
For events requiring overnight travel, Welcome to Jurassic Parties arranges lodging for the traveling team. - Travel requirements may vary depending on the dinosaur, number of performers, equipment, and event logistics.
We’ll calculate your exact travel fee when preparing your event quote.
Well… have you seen Flossie? Our large dinosaurs aren’t exactly hopping into the family sedan.
Large dinosaur appearances may require:
- A tow vehicle
- A large dinosaur trailer
- Dedicated handlers
- Equipment and supplies
- Appropriate parking and access
- Load-in and setup time
- Additional travel planning
Baby dinosaurs have different transportation and staffing requirements, so travel logistics can vary depending on which dinosaur you’re booking.
For large dinosaurs, we’ll discuss parking, access, setup space, and other venue requirements during the booking process.
We’ve traveled for events throughout the region, and we’re always open to discussing events farther away.
If you’re wondering:
“Would you come all the way to us?”
Ask!
We’d much rather look at the location and event details than have you assume you’re too far away.
Some events may require additional travel time, lodging, staffing, or transportation arrangements, but distance alone doesn’t necessarily mean we’re out of range.
Our regular service area includes:
Gastonia • Charlotte • Belmont • Mount Holly • Huntersville • Concord • Matthews • Rock Hill • Fort Mill • Shelby • Hickory • Kannapolis • and surrounding areas
But our service area doesn’t stop there.
North Carolina? Let’s talk.
South Carolina? Let’s talk.
Virginia, Tennessee, Georgia, or somewhere even farther away? Yep. Ask us.
For larger public events, museums, conventions, corporate events, and special engagements, we’re happy to discuss travel outside our normal service area.
